Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young - Déjà Vu [1970]

This is the best album Crosby, Stills, Nash, and/or Young ever made. It is a great folk/rock classic. The lyrics are deep, the harmonies are nice and smooth, and the guitar playing is the best its ever been by Stephen Stills and Neil Young. This is a very late sixties early seventies type album. Its got protest songs (Almost Cut My Hair), I mean how cool is that. and it has one of the greatest songs ever written, 'Woodstock' the harmonies, and guitars, and the chorus are just flat out awesome. 'Carry On' is the greatest folk/rock song ever made! 'Deja Vu' is another really great song, and its the title track for good reason, its a really great song! 'Our House' is another radio hit from the album. Other stand outs include 'I Love You All' This was almost like four solo albums in one. Deja Vu was to CSNY what the White Album was to The Beatles. It was all four members making solo songs. The only two songs the band recorded together were 'Carry On' and 'Woodstock' which happend to be the two best songs on the album. This was a very important rock album in the history of rock, never before or after were the band this tight, even though only two of the songs on the album were recorded as a band. A true classic.
