VA - City of Angels - OST [1998]

What we have here is a great album... a great album that with a few chages would have been extrordinary. You can't resist Alanis' Uninvited no matter how hard you try. Iris is permanently melted in your heart, mind, and soul the instant you hear it. It includes the magnificent cover of Jimi Hendrix's "Red House." Sarah Mclachlan's "Angel" is a true gem. The album features U2, Paula Cole (who is talented regardless of the armpit hair!) Unfortunatly they also included fillers that have no buisness cluttering such an otherwise perfect album. John Lee Hooker's song featured on it is horrible to say the least. They include an Eric Clapton track that dosen't deserve to be printed next to the great musicians name. It's one of his early blues songs. Why not one of his sensations? "Tears in heaven", "Layla", you know what I mean. My dad couldn't even tell it was him and he's a clapton freak. Peter Gabriel "Greives" to sing one of his better songs (although I can put up with the track.) Too bad, for the album was close to being a masterpeice. It's still a great album though with an instrumental ending that is beautiful.
